My name is Whitney Stead. This will be my fourth year teaching
Kindergarten and my fifth year as a teacher. I have always wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher and feel very privileged to have a job that I love. Although this is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten, I have been the daughter of a Kindergarten teacher all my life. My mother, Mrs. Bunn, is also a Kindergarten teacher at Village of Barboursville. In 7/08 I became a Master Science teacher for the state of West Virginia and will be teaching Simple Science kits to other teachers throughout the state. On 5/09 I was awarded RESA (Regional Education Services Agency) Expemplary Teacher 
award. In addition to being a kindergarten teacher I am also an aerobics instructor at Absolute Fitness. On 7/7/07 I married Matthew Stead, a history teacher at Cabell Midland High school. Together we have a "spirited" black lab named Marco.
